Gluten Free Soft Pretzels
Prep Time: 12 Minutes Cook Time: 15 Minutes
Calories: 212 (for 2 pretzels)
Carbohydrates: 44g Fat: 0g Protein: 9g
50g GF baking flour
65g plain non fat Greek yogurt
1 pinch salt
3g baking soda
1 egg white
Coarse salt to top
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit
Mix all of the ingredients together except for the egg whites and salt to form a dough.
Once you’ve formed your ball of dough separate it out into two smaller balls and roll into snakes. You want these to be about finger thick. Because we don’t get any gluten development these will not be stretchy like real dough is so you have to be a bit more gentle with them.
Form the snakes into a pretzel shape. Watch a youtube video if needed (I had to)
Once you have formed the pretzels, dip your finger in the egg whites and paint the tops. This is going to assist with browning. Add a flaky salt to the top and bake at 350F for 15 minutes. You may want to add more egg whites half way through if you aren’t getting a lot of brown color.
